A few weeks ago, I received a call from two renters who came across one of our listed properties after seeing a Chirino Real Estate sign posted on the property. I encouraged them to come into the office to get more detail on the property and to see if we had other properties that they may be interested in seeing.
After they arrived and we got down to business, they both realized that what they were looking for was a home and not another rental (temporary) house.
As it turns out, the price point that they were looking to rent a full home at per month was the same price or more than what they could get if they purchased instead. I ran into the same situation when I considered renting versus buying. Why should I rent a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home for $1600, when I could buy a similar home with mortgage payment of $1200? The numbers do not lie, y’all!
In our office, we have a loan officer, Tad Wentzell (email@example.com), from Absolute Home Mortgage who comes in twice a week. The beauty of this arrangement is that if you are interested in learning more about your options to rent or buy, you can literally walk 10 feet and talk to Tad in person. Now, my renters are coming back on Monday to find out the financing available to them when they are ready to make their next move.
On an unrelated (and happy) note, the husband loves horses and introduced me to the Cabalgata (Horse walk) in Tampa. This is a meet-up group for horse lovers and it certainly explains why I see horses in the heart of metropolitan Tampa from time to time. Tampa has so much history and many activities to participate in (in addition to our great beaches). Please take a look at the video that the husband showed me below.
This is why I love my job!
